Rashmeet Kaur, was born on March 8, 1994 in Punjab. She was brought up in the national capital of India, and is presently staying in the “City of Dreams”-Mumbai.
The musical journey of this unrivalled talent took flight with the Gurmat sangeet, and everyone knew that the voice which was pleasing their ears was not an ordinary voice. Along with this, Rashmeet also started to learn playing harmonium from her mother. While she was indulged in all this, she was still a small kid aged 6 years. And soon this girl grew up, she was now proudly being trained formally at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Delhi. Meanwhile, she was also being trained for the Gurmat Sangeet by her teacher Jasvinder Kaur.
Talent finds its ways and smells the opportunities from a distance. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012 and Asia’s singing superstar 2015, were two renowned platforms where Rashmeet got the golden opportunity to showcase her talent. And this girl left no stones unturned to win the hearts of millions of the audiences along with the renowned as well as extremely talented judges Shankar Mahadevan and Shafqat Amanat Ali. She influenced the judges with her ever versatile voice and was among the top 6 contestants in the Asia’s singing superstar 2015.
This melodious singer got her degree in medical science from the University of Delhi and then as she wanted to pursue her career in singing, she moved to Mumbai. The courageous girl burnt the mid night oil to achieve the name and fame. She even contributed to the Hindi Jazz song in the sixth movie of noticeable Bengali series by Byomkesh Bakshi.
Rashmeet has also contributed enormously to the industry by giving her voice to many ad jingles, as well as the “Heer” song in Bollywood Movie Phillauri. This girl has her own Band, and has shared the stage with some of the prominent Bollywood artists like Shubha Mudgal, Master Saleem, Shazia Manzoor, Siddharth Mahadevan, Mohammed Irfan and many more.
